Hello! Welcome to the February 2009 issue of Psychic Times. These certainly are exciting times we are experiencing as we propel further into the New Year. Our theme this month seems to be a commentary on current events; these are challenging but very interesting days. We are experiencing momentous changes on the planet right now. In this month's Eye-Opener column we will explore that concept further in my article "Gateway to the Future-2009". Last month I journeyed to the past to the land of the Maya, this month we take a deeper look into some of the remarkable events taking place now as the World experiences massive changes as we enter a new era. 2009 will be a very busy and unique year, I offer more detail on how this is unfolding in my article. As always, I will keep you informed of each month's celestial happenings in my Horoscope column. This is absolutely the time to believe in your self as so many face hardship and loss. We must remember our Spirits are strong and trust that we are provided for by our Creator. Remember, we are all spiritual beings having a human experience; don't lose sight of that fact. Each month, our editor, Selene, will contribute an informative article on a thought provoking topic. Be on the lookout for the highlighted letters that will appear in this column, as they are clues that will help solve our monthly "Jumble Contest" where you might very well win $50 in free reading time at Psychic Access.

My guides were clear that I should not commit to a subject for this column when I wrapped up last month's Eye-Opener. With the Solar Eclipse coming up late in January, I was told to wait and see what would present itself. Throughout this momentous first month of 2009 this article has been on my mind, with all that has happened in the world and politically during January, it looked like some kind of commentary on changing times may shape up. I made a lot of mental notes as the transition period was ending and the Inauguration was upon us. We witnessed history here in the America on January 20th and the rest of the world witnessed it along with us. It is not my intention to focus on politics or only issues here in the US but rather, from a more neutral perspective, to present a commentary on the shift in consciousness most people have experienced as result of the changes that are taking place right now. Both Salome and Feraion have addressed current events and energies in their columns this month. It is interesting but not surprising that we all are on the same wavelength without having discussed a theme or subject for this issue as each of us selects our own subjects. When I read their columns as we were putting the issue together, I knew that my other subjects I had in mind to write about would wait for another time and began further research on what this New Year has in store for us. Be sure to read my Horoscope Column each month where I share the highlights of what each month brings to us. Let's take a look at the year so far and current events; 2009 is destined to be a time of change and a wild ride but it is the gateway to the future that will carry us forward.

In last month's column I shared my journey back in time to the land of the Maya. In visiting the ancient ruins of a once great and highly advanced civilization, I was totally awe-struck by the buildings and energy. I could feel them, the former residents of Tulum and experienced a sense of deja-vu, to be honest those feelings scared me a little bit as to what I may "remember" but going deeply into those memories wasn't going to happen on a busy day when the ruins were packed with tours and tourists. I vowed to go back someday with more time to really tune in and visit some of the other Mayan ruins in the area. It is still a mystery exactly what happened to their civilization, how advanced they really were, how much they knew about the Stars, where did all their information come from? Their descendants assimilated into the Mexican culture but really, where did they go? The Maya were once a great civilization in the pre-Colombian world. Long ago, they spoke of the times we are in now and how the world as we know it will change. The end date for the Mayan calendar is December 21, 2012 but as our guide stated during the tour last month, it is not the end of time but things will be much different, life as we know it will change and a new calendar will begin.

Time does seem to be accelerating, there is no denying that. In my observation this began around the time Pluto moved into Sagittarius late in 1995. There has been a quickening compared to the past and everyone has noticed how time seems to be flying by or even collapsing into itself. We truly are in remarkable and historic times these days and the events of the past month have been intense and unique. It has also been quite a difficult time for everyone with the current financial crisis; no one has escaped from the effects of what has been created since this century began. With all that is going on currently it is not easy to stay away from fear, from wondering what will become of the current situation, how will we adapt to the global and economic changes. How will we get by, will we be able to survive during this rocky time, it is having an effect on each of us as we go through this period collectively. Now that Pluto the transformer is in Capricorn until 2023, we will see that the dismantling of the old way of being is inevitable, we will be creating a new structure. Capricorn is the sign of the Goat, cardinal Earth, practical and ruled by Saturn the planet of structure, lessons and limitation. The last time Pluto was in Capricorn was around the time of the American Revolution; that was definitely a time and chain of events that changed the World forever. We will indeed see major changes over the next 15 years, the evidence of those changes are already in the works as we all well know.

As the outgoing President prepared to make his farewell speech, the Miracle on the Hudson occurred. We happened to turn on the news just as they showed the plane being evacuated. We watched as it sank as people climbed on life rafts and ferry boats. We prayed for the safety of the survivors and asked their angels to help them. Surely there were plenty of angels there. Miraculously everyone survived the emergency water landing in the middle of the river. No one on the ground was harmed, in a potentially disastrous situation; somehow everything went as right as it possibly could. We watched with tears streaming down our faces, it was a very emotional time as we witnessed the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. The metaphor of that plane being able to land, that people were able to cooperate and leave their possessions behind as they left with the only thing that really mattered: their lives. With the steady hands and cool heads of an experienced pilot and well trained crew, the disaster was averted. Of course there was material loss and the accident is still being investigated, but the miracle was, everyone survived. The Pilot has become a folk hero but insists he was just doing his job. Strangers helped save the lives of people they never met as their ride home on the ferry got detoured to become a part of this dramatic rescue. It made us feel optimistic that things could be ok for our country and the rest of the world. It was symbolic with the political timing and this metaphor was not lost on us.

The following Tuesday we got up very early to watch the Inauguration of the 44th President of the United States. We watched history being made as nearly two million people shivered in the cold. They came from all over, people of all ages, faiths, classes and colors; each had their story and reason for being there. So many of them said I had to be here, how could I not be a part of this. The rest of the World watched too as history took place and a hopeful nation looked to their new leader to take charge at a time that is the most difficult any new President has ever faced as they took office. His eloquent speech inspired us; our Nation and the World celebrated the occasion. The next morning he was hard at work making changes from the very first day.

President Obama is a member of the Pluto in Virgo generation that was born between approximately 1957-1971, it is significant that he took office just as Pluto moved into Capricorn with the tough times to come as we break down what needs to die in order to transform and rebuild. To clarify this point I will share the following information from my favorite astrological program Kepler 7 by Cosmic Patterns:

PLUTO IN VIRGO

You are part of a 15 year group of people that are driven by the need to find an ethical standard and a clear sense of what is right and what is wrong. There is a subconscious drive to straighten out all the world's evils and create a world of perfect order. There is a feeling of repulsion to anything ugly, dirty, or grotesque. Oddly enough, there is also often a fascination with these very things that are so distasteful, and often a feeling of hopelessness and despair about the world's condition. These inner, emotional and conflicting qualities are reflected in the attitudes and life styles of your generation. Most people of your age group are conservative and ethical, and a small minority goes to the opposite extreme. There seems to be no middle ground for your generation. Usually, the rebellious type of behavior comes out during adolescence, and tends to subside thereafter, and your age group tends to be very conservative in later life. Your age group is not very good at compromising and tends to have strong ideas about what is right and what is wrong. There is a strong feeling that you must extinguish evil in the world. Certainly, fostering good works is very commendable, but a categorical and simple-minded response to complex issues is not helpful. Your age group will undergo great transformations in attitudes regarding Good and Evil and will swing to great extremes. Your generation will also make great contributions in the areas of medicine and nutrition, ecology, and education.

This generation has stepped up to the plate and is taking charge now. I realized that not only did we have our last President from the Baby Boomer generation but somehow we totally skipped having a US President who was born in the 1950's. At this stage of the game that most likely won't occur. It is kind of odd having to accept that actually since I was born midway through that decade and although I don't want to be older, I already felt ripped off by being a child and young teenager in the 60s instead of getting to experience that decade the way I might have if I'd shown up on the planet sooner. My Pluto in Leo generation has strong ideals and created a lot of change but is by nature still somewhat resistant to growing up or even growing older. We still want to be recognized for our contributions and accomplishments and have a strong voice. The time has come to pass on the torch and work together in a new way, a 21st century way, to fix things.

Six days into his administration you can already see the lines of worry deepening between his eyebrows as he attends the swearing in of the new Treasury Secretary. Tens of thousands of jobs losses were announced by major companies today and an uncertain nation is watching to see what will happen while still basking in the light of last week's inauguration. It is the day of New Moon in Aquarius the sign of change or as this is better known in many parts of the world it is the first day of Chinese Lunar New Year-the Year of the Earth Ox. The Ox is associated with building to last and slow but sure action. We all have to make good choices during the year of the Ox as the decisions we make now will have long term consequences.

There was also a Solar Eclipse with this first major lunation during the new Presidency. In looking at the chart of the Solar Eclipse along with that of President Obama, I see that the collection of planets in Aquarius sit close to his Ascendant and opposite his Sun in Leo. As Mercury retrograde transits his natal Saturn in Capricorn, he is discovering how intense the restructuring and responsibility will become. The upcoming Lunar Eclipse with the Full Moon in Leo on February 9th has a similar effect for him as the Sun conjoins his Aquarius Ascendant and the Moon is close to his natal Uranus in Leo. At this time he may more fully realize what this commitment to serve means to his personal life and relationships as he accepts the responsibility of leading the Nation in troubling times. 2009 has a total of 6 eclipses rather than the usual 4 with the last eclipse occurring on December 31st. Eclipses are the windows of opportunity for change, those events that come up in our lives without warning, twists of fate both good and bad that can change us for the rest of our lives. This is a very significant year astrologically and I will do my best each month to help keep you aware of what is going on.

40% of the World's wealth has been lost over the past 5 financial quarters. Everyday we hear more grim news about the economy and how people are responding to the hardship, sometimes with violence. There is so much wrong but still so much can go right in the future if we can still believe in a positive outcome. All we can do is hold on and ride the wave, do the best we can, cut down on excess, try to get out of debt and survive the best we can. We must dare to dream and not be afraid of hard work but also to reorganize and do things in a new way that works rather than replicating old worn out patterns.

If you don't do anything you can't expect anything to change. But if you take action you trigger a chain of events that will lead to change. How do you succeed in your life without feeling frozen by fear with what is taking place currently? There are dozens of books and motivational programs available now to help you through these trying times, plans that sound like get rich quick schemes that are too good to be true but what if it works? How do we get back to center and move forward when we know it is going to get worse before it gets better? Dare to dream, do your research, believe in and nurture yourself as you move forward in 2009. Be brave, be wise, be powerful and utilize the energy of the eclipses to get back on track rather than being derailed. There was a shift in consciousness that occurred already this year, it was felt throughout the planet, let's hold on to that optimism and faith we felt on those cold days in January as a New Day dawned.

Selene: Hello! Lavender Mist it is such a pleasure to meet you and get this opportunity to connect and help our readers become better acquainted with you. Thank you for taking the time for us here at Psychic Times and Congratulations on being selected as our February Psychic of the month! My first question is about the significance of your name, what lead you to choose Lavender Mist?

Lavender Mist: It is so nice to be selected for this interview, I am honored. I appreciate that Doug offers this article each month to display all the great readers on Psychic Access. It is a good way for everyone to get acquainted. I very much appreciate the job too, it helps me a lot and I love working from home. My name comes from the ethereal protoplasm or Spirit the way I see or perceive it, it comes in a mist. Lavender is my favorite color, so that is where my name comes from.

Selene: Your background is fascinating; I remember feeling quite intrigued working on your profile a few months ago. You had an experience as a child where angels told you of your future. Can you share a bit more with us about that encounter and the other events that lead you to pursue your path?

Lavender Mist: I have seen angels all my life since I was 5 years old. The first one that came to me was "Dr. Longstaff" he came to me and told me we are here to help you become a medium and missionary. He told me don't worry about it right now when you are ready we will come back to get you and help you. These memories are from my 5 year old brain. I remember he was blond and looked Swedish. I never forgot that experience even if I did not fully understand it at the time. Then when I was 30 years old my Grandmother died, she was like a mother to me. I became really depressed and did not feel a part of the church I had belonged to all my life. I had always sang in the choir too so I felt really empty. A week before she had died I had looked at a Spiritualist Church, afterward I felt drawn to this church and that is how my path started, this event lead to me to Chesterfield. I went there because I wanted to but the first night I was there she came thru to the medium who asked who collected red birds. I knew it was my Grandmother. That is what started that entire phase of my life.

Selene: How did you become aware of your own abilities as a Medium? Please tell us more about Camp Chesterfield and your studies there.

Lavender Mist: I started going to other Spiritualist activities in my town; one was a class on Spiritual development. I met a teacher named Rev. Shalia White, she told me that I had natural born abilities and she was going to help me develop them. She was the one that took me to Chesterfield for the very first time and that's how that started. I had hundreds of studies there over the next six years. It was a lot of work and became my focus even though it was a lot to balance with my family and responsibilities. I became a licensed Minister and Medium.

Selene: You served as an Assistant Minister for quite some time and later started your own Spiritualist church. What lead you to start The Crystal Palace, please share with us about your ministry.

Lavender Mist: The reason I started my own Crystal Palace, is because someone told me at Camp that my guardian angel's name is Crystal. I always saw palaces in my meditations and that is what led me to give my church that name. All my life I have loved people and wanted to help them since I was a little girl. I wanted to start something where I could help people with physical and emotional healing. I just wanted a place where people could feel happy and safe and do messages from Spirit. I wanted to teach, I have done a lot of teaching in my life. I had my own church for two years and was an assistant minister for six years before that.

Selene: You are also a crystal reader and healer. Please tell us more about how you came to work with crystals and how you help people with them.

Lavender Mist: I have loved bright things and crystals all my life and I loved crystal jewelry. When we went to the mountains of Arkansas to dig crystals I found that just working with their energy really opened me up. The little town called Jesseville is where it's all at. It was awesome, you just don't understand until you have actually done this yourself. I did find some really good ones, amazing crystals; we found crystals we could not even lift. I did a lot of seminars on crystals and gemstones and their use for healing. I showed people how to change their life with crystals. I read hundreds of books on them I used to have 40-50 crystals on my table at the psychic fairs. The crystals themselves taught me how to work with them. All rocks talk to me and I have taught others how to work with them and communicate with the crystal energy as I was led to do.

Selene: How have your spiritual studies lead you to remembering and reclaiming talents and abilities from past lives? How do the past life readings you offer help your clients with their own spiritual path?

Lavender Mist: I don't really feel I specifically remembered reclaiming my talents. Years ago I told Spirit to help me developed my clairaudience so I could read more quickly over the phone. As I developed that ability to hear the messages it helped me to develop my abilities to read past lives. I did see some information on my own lives but more so on what my clients needed to know about their past lives. The patterns were shown to be reenacted from past lives, and the pictures would come to me like from a movie.

Selene: You offer a lot of different types of readings! The Archangel readings sound very interesting. Can you tell us more about those readings or some of the different types of readings you offer? How did you become a pet psychic?

Lavender Mist: I am always calling on Archangel Michael, which helped me develop my own Archangel cards of the four Archangels Michael, Raphael, Gabriel and Uriel. I studied Qualbalistic Tarot for two years and this lead me to develop my own deck that helped me to read for people based on what angel came to them. I drew the images myself. I let the cards talk to me to convey what the Archangels wanted them to know. With my own Angel cards I would have people choose the ones they wanted and let the Archangels communicate thru the cards.

I do pet readings because I am a pet freak. They always had psychic fairs at Chesterfield and a lady brought her dog in, I had to read it outside since it was in the cafeteria. It ended up being a stronger reading having the dog in front of me although I can still connect to a pet through their owner. I once heard my pet rabbit tell me it was sick and had been poisoned. The neighbor had poisoned it and I had to raise the babies, that is how I got my start as a pet psychic. To give a pet reading on Psychic Access I ask Crystal for help, my guides show me what I need to know to help the pet and their owner. Crystal lived in the time of Atlantis and was my daughter, which is why she is helping me now.

Selene: You began working on a well known International Psychic phone line in 1990. What was that experience like for you and when did you begin offering your services on the internet?

Lavender Mist: I worked on Psychic Friends network for years, I was young and it was a new experience for me. My teacher encouraged me to do it while I was going to school at Chesterfield and Springfield. I learned a lot during that time period, I thought I was hearing Spirit really well. I was doing hundreds and hundreds of readings each week. I had one woman whose son was in the Olympics, she had asked me what he was going to receive gold, silver or bronze, I said silver and that is what he got! I had clients call my boss up to say how accurate I was. I was right on and that really helped me develop doing about 350-400 readings per week. I worked about 12 hours a day. I feel very tuned in when I am working, it is like JING!

Selene: So many people ask how it possible to read for someone over the phone rather than face to face. How does this work for you or how would you explain this ability to your own clients?

Lavender Mist: Crystal or Spirit tells me all the answers, it doesn't matter where I am if it's on the phone, on chat or whatever, I still hear the answers. I just have to listen with my mind and pass the messages along. We are all psychic and have our own innate abilities. I just hear what she tells me and pass it along. Spirit gives me the answers.

Selene: I understand that many of our clients on Psychic Access have flocked to you since you joined us in October. How do you like working with us so far? It looks like you are very busy and have a lot of regulars, what has contributed to your success?

Lavender Mist: I love working for Psychic Access, it gives me a chance to exercise my spiritual gifts all the time and help people. I just want to thank Doug for the experience it helps me and helps other people at the same time. He has been really nice to me whenever we had contact; he was very patient helping me with my problems with the chat box. I work on there about 12 hours a day most days. I think I have done so well from being available so much. I have developed a group of people who call me once or twice a week and I love being able to help them.

Selene: What advice do you have for people in keeping their faith and remaining positive in hard times?

Lavender Mist: Well, I happen to believe like President Barack that all people are created equal since all people are one, there is no difference; everyone can be a medium or a minister if they want to be. Spirituality is not contained in one person it is for all. To take what you want through love and faith the Universe gives this out freely to you, so always believe in yourself.

Selene: You describe your dogs as being your children and the loves of your life; please tell us more about them.

Lavender Mist: Susy is one year old; she's named after famous medium and teacher Suzanne Greer. Spirit is only six months, they both are strays. I asked Pumpkin, my dog who passed, to bring the right dog for me. I feed ducks, geese and swans every day. I want to help the whole world but I can help these animals around me. I made a commitment to feed and care for them. I even do it in blizzards. I work with a Rescue group in the summer that I developed to help ducks, geese and swans as well as dogs and cats. I live outside of a small city now, I am able to have both experiences, both city and country but I am not a city girl and never have been.

I have a Degree in Natural Sciences which consists of all sorts of things like landscaping, being a florist, I did that for a while too. I have studied and worked with herbs for decades as well. I am still working on my degree in herbology but that will take me a while to complete.

Selene: Your connection with nature and animals is very important to you. Your volunteer work with animal rescue is something you do with joy. I understand you would also like to have an animal sanctuary someday?

Lavender Mist: I want to help birds that are injured or hurt, to provide a sanctuary that is safe for them. I want to help the Canadian geese, people don't like them and they shoot them so I want to provide a sanctuary for them here. I saw a Mommy swan in the summer at the park; she was having a baby, I had to stop a man from beating and killing her. That is the sort of thing I want to protect the birds from.

Selene: What about family, I understand you have one son, what would you like to tell us about him?

Lavender Mist: Brian is 31, he is in college now to get his degree to become an NFL camera man; he loves sports! He is an Ohio state fan. He is a really nice kid with a good heart. If he couldn't do that he wanted to be a journalist to report on the environment. His degree in journalism will give him several options; he is a very good writer and wants to work with the NFL. I have four step children too who are all grown and very busy with their own lives. I have ten grandchildren that I love spending time with, we have a lot of fun just being together no matter what we do. It is always great to see them. In fact I am writing a children's book now on ducks, geese and swans. I always name all the ducks, geese and swans. The main character in my book is a baby swan named Ermee. His parent's names are Max and Erma.

Selene: You currently live in Ohio, how long have you been there? What do you like about where you live?

Lavender Mist: I was born in Cleveland and lived around Springfield most of my life. My Dad had condos in Naples, FL and I spent a lot of times there. It is my favorite place, Ohio is too cold for me, and I intend to live in the Naples area someday. I love it there.

My Dad was a business man and told me I could go to college anywhere. I told him I wanted to go to the University of Hawaii but I ended up going to a tiny college in the southern hills of Ohio. I could have gone to Hawaii and I ended in Rio Grande, Ohio instead. I could have gone to Naples too, but you know when you are young, you don't realize the options you have.

Selene: This has been so interesting and you have so much to share. I have asked so many questions but feel there may be something I missed. What else would you like us to know about you and the work that you do?

Lavender Mist: I believe that the whole world will vibrate someday to love and peace. I believe I came here to help the world know how to love and be loved. There is so much pain in the world that I just wanted to show people we don't have to live in pain. The Earth can vibrate to love not to pain, that is the main impetus behind my work, to help others find the love within them and to help release them from pain.

Selene: Last but not least, I know that you are available regularly on Psychic Access. What is the best time to find you there?

Lavender Mist: Well as I said earlier, I am usually on there about 12 hours a day. I am kind of a night owl myself so look for me between 4pm-4am eastern.

One thing materialists and new agers both believe is the present is far better than the distant past, the past before internet, electricity, cars, aircon, movies and cheap food in big shops were dreamt of. The past before the industrial revolution was, as Hobbes is usually misquoted as saying, 'nasty, brutish and short'. In those days, people's religious belief was easily mocked, as it was later by Marx, as being an 'opiate.' Religion was oppressive, puritanical, micro-managing and dogmatic. Non religious relations, in the feudal period from around 800 to around 1517, were hierarchical, totalitarian and socially static. You stayed in the station in life to which you were born. Robin Hood was a myth -if Robin of Loxley was the basis for the myth, then he certainly did not rob the rich to feed the poor; and you can search the archives of England's libraries in Nottingham and Lincoln but you wont find any evidence to show that Robin was a real 'Hood', anymore than a thousand years earlier, Arthur was a real king with a real round table. Both myths were opiates to salve the hurts of the social injustice built into a social and religious system that never conceived of social justice as a relevant factor in a good society to begin with.

The Middle Ages had one thing, though, that we could envy today, because we haven't got it at all. When a medieval man or woman promised anything, often by saying they 'plighted their troth'; there was almost no chance that they would break their word. The troth, the true promise, was considered to be made in the direct sight of God - in whom virtually all of them believed for the entire period. Breaking a promise was a crime as well as a sin, justifying punishment, rebellion or war as appropriate. William the Conqueror only invaded England in 1066 to take it from Harold because he was promised it by Edward the Confessor in 1064, and William's victory was widely recognised as confirmation of William's version of the truth - the truth was the troth. Conversely Henry the 8th could never get Cardinal Wolsey to promise on his troth that he could persuade the Pope to grant him a divorce from Catherine of Aragon, so Henry had to breakaway from Catholicism altogether and make himself head of the church in England in order to marry his new girlfriend, Anne Boleyn. With the Reformation, started in England by Henry and in Europe in 1517 by Martin Luther, we see the beginning of the end of the unbreakable troth. A promise made to a heretic or to an infidel was not a real troth, people rationalized, and there were beginning to be quite a lot of heretics and infidels. Now clearly, merchants needed something to replace the troth so they could rely on the other party to deliver and/or to pay, so at the same time, we got the rise of the contract as the thing that enforced promises through the law courts. By the Declaration of Independence, the contract had already obtained its modern status as the promise that really counts, so any lesser promises, undertakings, representations, advertisements, claims or manifestoes need adhere to the same standards of truthfulness and responsibility required of a legal contract. So the industrial revolution, the internet revolution and modern life in general values truth and non-contractual promises no higher than any other 'speech act.' For example MGM's Sam Goldwyn's most quoted saying is: "An oral contract is not worth the paper it's written on." Look on your banknotes and you will find a promise to pay you 1, 10 etc dollars which once meant a legally enforceable promise to collect gold, but means nothing at all now. A society in which lies pollute almost all conversation and discussion is one quite likely to have periodic crises of confidence, especially crises of financial confidence. And we are getting them at ever decreasing intervals. So many of our leaders, executives and politicians would echo Jack Nicholson's famous line to Tom Cruise; "The truth? You can't handle the truth!" From Peter Finch in Network through to President Obama, we need to insist by every possible material and spiritual means; "Yes we can". Then one day, we will.

Working With Trolls And Gnomes For Material Abundance

My guides decided this month I should teach teach you how to work with trolls and gnomes. Why? Because they are the caretakers and guardians of ALL material wealth and abundance on Earth. This is their job, and a purpose to which they are well suited. Very seldom does one spot a troll or gnome who is not grounded in material reality. Most know their task or purpose. Yes, I said material reality. Just because you don't see them, does not mean they aren't there. They are all around you waiting to help. You need only to sincerely ask for their help. Have enough faith in what you've been told is improbable, according to your cultural beliefs, and your bottom line will improve.

Right now, panic is surfacing about material lack throughout the world. It is not just in the USA, it is worldwide. Even those who have enough seem to be suffering from emotional wobbles! Everywhere you see people losing jobs, losing money. Life savings are dwindling. Things are just falling apart, aren't they? People are very frightened. For this reason, my guides were adamant I pass along this knowledge to help those in need of material and financial assistance.

There are much deeper reasons for this other than what is immediately apparent, but one of the REAL reasons is to teach us that there are certain beings who can help us right now! However we must ask them, in the correct way. The correct way is with food offerings we place out for them in return for any favors they bestow upon us.

We love to pretend beings such as trolls and gnomes are only myths. We are also a wee bit afraid of them too! We learn and buy-in to the craziest things from those who do not know truth! Culture has taught us to beware lest we get hoodwinked. We can trip if we believe in those silly fairy tales.

So what is the truth regarding trolls and gnomes? The truth is that if you have an honest need, then you'll receive help from them. Are you frightened you won't have a job? Frightened you won't have money to survive and provide for your basic needs? Trolls and gnomes can come to your rescue! These wonderful beings know all about how to bring what you most need into your life, when you most need it and lay it before you! They also understand how foolish it is to overlook their abilities to help humans in matters of material abundance and financial need. Trolls and gnomes have always had this gift or ability to help humans. It is us who have not seen, nor understood them or their purpose.

Trolls and gnomes are the guardians of material abundance. Yes they live underground but they also live above ground as well. Let us not limit them or their dwellings to what you read in fairy tales or myths. Recently I spotted a family of gnomes dwelling high on a snow capped peak way above the valley where I live. So much for tales in error. My Icelandic roots fairly cry out to ask them for assistance if I need it!

It does not matter where you live in the world, there are trolls and gnomes. Yes, they vary according to how they look and what they wear, just as we humans do according to where we hail from. They have customs and costumes unique to their lands. Surprising how like us they can be in that regard isn't it? "How then, do I ask trolls and gnomes for help"?, you ask. Legends abound about how tricky and deceitful they can be, also how illusive. This is true, but one should always remember they also have a purpose, guarding and allowing only those deserving of help to take part in the riches of the Earth. The trolls and gnomes will not harm nor hurt you if you are honest in your dealings and come to them with true need.

True need. Pay close attention to those two words. True need is not spending wildly or lavishly on that which isn't necessary to help you survive. True need is not two motorcycles in your driveway parked alongside two 4 wheelers, plus a monster truck sitting in your garage. True need is having a job, and enough money to put a roof over your head and food in your mouth. True need is the ability to protect yourself from the elements as necessary. It is not to dress in the latest style or fashion just because....

How then is it trolls and gnomes relate so well to what we need? They are guardians of physical Earth. Gold is Earth based. How do we view gold? Gold is money. Money is gold. Money is closely related to dirt and rocks and stones. We find it in the ground. It vibrates to Earth. It grounds us. How many unhappy people have you seen that have access to plenty of money? Not too many. It is a circle of relatedness. Have enough money you feel grounded, solid and happy. Like it or not, this is a truth that many find hard to swallow. We need money to survive today. Yes, we are in the process of learning otherwise and to learn other uses for gold but for now, it's what we need to survive.

As a shaman, let me remind you not to be ultra spiritual or altruistic and say, "Oh but I don't care about money. I want what is best for me and my loved ones? I will always vote for the spiritual side of things and life." Nonsense! You need to eat don't you. Pay the bills, and your house payment? Feed the dog and feel secure? (say yes) Then you need money, i.e. gold. I love my higher self, but I also need the fridge to be full when I raid it at night. For that you need money to buy groceries. Trolls and gnomes have always known there would come a certain time when humans would turn to them for help. The time is now. Read on.....

Here is the way to ask for their help. It's so simple it may seem as if it can't be right or true but it is! Put out offerings and then ask for their help and PLEASE remember to say thanks at the same time.

The best offering is food you are about to eat yourself, because anything you would eat yourself is good to them as well. Place a bit on a plate and offer it. Don't forget to set out a beverage as well. You wouldn't want to eat without something to wash it down. Neither would they.

I would suggest leaving it for a few days or through the day, and then you can place both the offerings and drink outside to let the birds and animals dispose of them. Never put offerings in the garbage. Always place them outside and let the birds and animals help you recycle.

Many people who receive readings from me know I am famous for suggesting food and drink offerings to their guides. In the case of asking for help from trolls and gnomes, it is no different.

Most beings who can help you are just like you and I.... they love to be recognized and asked to help. They also like to eat. It is well known in many cultures that they can partake of the essence of the food and drink!

The key here is to believe and you will receive. Don't worry how, or why, or what or even when. Just know you'll get the help you honestly need, when you need it. Yes, I am asking you to set aside your ideas of what is possible and just ask and offer, and say thanks.

In this time of seeming scarcity and lack in the world, do remember to call on the beings who can most readily help you with your material needs. In this case, that would be trolls and gnomes. It is one of their purposes to assist mankind. I know, we all have angels and guides. We always ask for help from our guides and angels or at least I hope you do. This is special. Here we are discussing having a direct interaction with trolls and gnomes. Why? Just because it is possible and it works! In this time and place, they have a special service to impart to us humans. They always have, but most tales, till now have made them pretty inaccessible, which is nonsense.

Do not make this harder than it has to be. Do not add any elaborate prayers or rituals to this. Asking and offering plus a respectful thanks is enough. If it looks as if I am repeating myself, I am. Offer, ask and say thanks! Three important keys plus belief. What others would view as miracles is really just knowledge given that we can speak to and have a respectful relationship with the trolls and gnomes.

One poignant memory of mine is a day trip I took with my beloved mother just before she passed beyond the veil. We were taking a Sunday drive to a neighboring rural community. As I drove, she ate her cheeseburger and drank her coke in silence and enjoyed the scenery. All of a sudden, as we approached a huge farm on the main drag through town, she shouted, "Look Salome! Three Billy Goats Gruff! Look!" There they were in a pasture next to the farmhouse. Three goats, standing there in all their glory. One huge ram with a huge rack of horns, a ewe and a younger goat. As I scanned the scene, not far from them stood a proud bunch of trolls talking amongst themselves. My mother brightened and laughed as she said, "Look at the trolls too! Now Salome, you can be sure that is one finely run farm. Just look at that house, the barn and the land. They are so well kept. Those trolls are making sure everyone is happy and well fed." True to my family's teachings, I had to chuckle at her choice of words and agree because I saw real truth before my eyes. Also true was the knowledge those keepers of that homestead knew the power of working with beings such as trolls and gnomes. That the owners put offerings out to ask for help and honor those beings who could make a difference, as needed, I have no doubt. In this case, the trolls. The three goats? They looked fat and happy to be sure. A funny story but nonetheless very true!

One last thing I would like to add here for you to think about is this: There are many who will see this advice and think oh no! How could Salome even suggest going to them for help? How nuts is that? To them I would say that I have learned the ways of the trolls and gnomes from my family. As a small child growing up, there were times when I watched my father ask for help from them, if needed, for his family and his farm. His needs were always honest and respectful. Never did I know him to ask for help from trolls or gnomes if it was not truly needed. He showed respect. And he always said thanks. Always. My family was always mindful of spirits who oversaw the farm. I was taught to respect their right to live there and to know I could ask for help if I truly needed it!

So, if you're worried, or fearful you will not get your needs met in these dire times, remember the trolls and gnomes. They guard material abundance and they dole it out as well. If these techniques seem odd or funny to you at first, keep trying. Make food and beverage offerings. Practice makes perfect, as they say, and you will produce results if you truly do need help. Who knows? You may even be graced with these wonderful beings showing themselves to you in the flesh. What fun! It could happen. After all, they are in charge of the material and physical world we live in.

I have many stories of working with trolls and gnomes, and while this is only one simple method of how to work with them, it is an important one, because they really can help you survive these supposed tough times.

My Uncle Robert has a tumor on his front lobe, this can not be removed, however, he has multiple seizures and a very good surgeon will operate in January to stop the seizures so he can live a life of normality. This operation is dangerous, no other surgeon will take this on, he has a 50 to 80% chance of coming out of it. Please pray for Uncle Robert and his surgeon that all things go well and that Uncle Robert can live each day without these seizures.
